Tossing T-Shirts for a Good Cause

T-shirts line the hallway at King Residence Hall on February 23 as Mary Baldwin College’s chapter of honor society Omicron Delta Kappa collected unwanted clothing from classmates to support SustainU’s “One Shirt” campaign. The West Virginia-based company that manufactures collegiate apparel from recycled clothing is leading the nationwide drive to donate gently used T-shirts to Goodwill. By the end of the day, ODK President Elisabeth Maddrell ’11 reported that ODK had gathered an “incredible” 649 shirts, more than three quarters of the undergraduate, residential student body.
