Natural history / Folklore

Wet woods and streamsides. Found in the open to partial shade. Two petals amke a lower lib, and the other three form the upper lip and face.


Flowers in June - September, Stem is narrowly winged, light blue-violet flowers arising from the axils of the leaves.
