Instruction & Electronic Services Librarian |

Martha S. Grafton Library at Mary Baldwin College is seeking applications for a full time Instruction and Electronic Services Librarian.
General Responsibilities:
The Instruction and Electronic Services Librarian will be primarily responsible for providing user-centered instruction and reference services to on campus students as well as to Adult Degree Program students. The Librarian is also responsible for maintaining the library’s digital resources and for creating resources that promote and support emerging technologies. S/he will work with other librarians in developing new methods and programs of library service. Some evening reference hours and travel are required.
Specific Duties:
Provide subject-focused and general library instruction.
Assist with and instruct a one credit Information Literacy course.
Maintain the library’s website in collaboration with other librarians.
Update, evaluate, and maintain free and fee-based electronic resources.
Develop digital resources utilizing emerging technologies and Web 2.0 applications.
Participate in the evaluation, selection and deselection of materials for the collection.
Required Qualifications:
Masters of Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA accredited program and relevant course work or experience providing reference and instruction in an academic library. The candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated knowledge of ACRL information literacy standards and how to effectively incorporate them into courses for a wide range of audiences. The successful candidate will have experience with emerging technologies and display initiative in creating and applying these technologies. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience using Captivate software.
Experience working with diverse student populations, including nontraditional students.
Experience with Website development.

This position reports to the Vice President for Business and Finance and will have responsibility for the maintenance and control of the College’s general ledger accounting system, reconciliation of accounts, coordination of monthly and annual closings, preparation of annual financial statements and supervision of the accounting staff. This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and five to seven years prior experience in a similar accounting environment with three of those years involving direct supervision of staff members. CPA and prior non-profit audit experience strongly preferred. |

This position is an entry-level administrative position.
Responsibilities include: the successful recruitment and enrollment of students; professional representation of Mary Baldwin College to all external and internal constituencies; and day and evening recruitment activities involving travel, conducting interviews, and general office assignments. A Bachelors’ degree and/or at least three years of pertinent experience is required.
Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and be detail-oriented. Previous experience with AS400 and Microsoft Windows is helpful, but not necessary. The position requires an individual who has a high level of energy, enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to teamwork. Preference will be given to candidates having prior admissions experience. Extensive travel and evening/weekend work is required throughout the calendar year.
Starting Salary: $24,000
