Checklist for independent web site publishers

To ensure that your web site functions appropriately and meets the needs of web users, please check to make sure that your page(s) include the items of the following checklist.

__ includes the official MBC Logo linked back to the MBC home page

__ includes your (page owner's) name and contact information (email address)

__ has been reviewed and displays satisfactorily on both Macintosh and Windows systems using either Netscape or Internet Explorer browsers.

__ creates a satisfactory, readable print out.

__ provides hyperlinked email addresses (e.g. user@mbc.edu)

__ includes the use of "alt" tags to provide a text description for all images (this enables systems used for special disabilities (i.e. visual impairment) to interpret visual content and is a requirement under Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act regarding electronic information accessibility.)

__ all links tested and working

__ basic MBC style conventions in use

__ conforms with standard HTML
