The Mary Baldwin College Work Study Program

The Financial Aid Office awards where possible need-based jobs to students as a form of self-help aid other than loans to assist in payment of education expenses. Wages are paid directly to the student. Placement in a job is done by the Coordinator of Student Campus Employment after careful review of supervisor requests and job questionnaires from new students. The new student questionnaire and tax forms will be sent during the summer if a job is awarded. After placement, a job contract will be sent to the student designating the job assigned, amount awarded and rate of pay. The guidelines for supervisors helps in answering many questions students may have concerning their work-study job.
