Meghan WardClass of 2004 "It was my campus visit that solidified the fact that I wanted to attend Mary Baldwin College," says Meghan Ward, a 2004 graduate who teaches 5th grade at St. Thomas More Cathedral School in Arlington, Virginia. "Meeting professors, talking with students and seeing their close interaction was a big selling point." Meghan designed her course of study to incorporate an independent major in social psychology and minors education and historic preservation, and she says she felt completely prepared when she entered the classroom. "I also feel comfortable voicing my opinion at faculty meetings because of the professional experiences I had on campus and with other alumnae." Meghan did not let extracurricular activities pass her by at MBC. She played field hockey for four years, served as a resident advisor and senior class vice president, worked on the Student Alumnae/i Relations Society and on the Presidents Society - which helps the Admissions Office with recruiting and campus tours. |
