What’s your favorite MBC tradition? I love Apple Day! I think it is wonderful that we are carrying on a tradition that many Baldwin Girls before us celebrated.

What advice would you give to someone considering Mary Baldwin College? Mary Baldwin is perfect for a student who appreciates the benefits of small class sizes. Professors always know your name and it is easy to have free class discussions. The professors are always there to talk to if you have a problem, or if you just don’t understand something.

What are your passions? Traveling and learning are my passions. I love traveling to new places and experiencing other cultures, and I cannot wait to study abroad. Also, I find it exciting to take new classes in a variety of different fields. Every new class offers wonderful new topics and concepts, and interesting teachers who share their own experiences with the class.

What makes you an MBC woman? I’m strong, confident, and always willing to learn. Mary Baldwin women are always ready to step forward and take charge. We love our school and value our traditions.

What phrase best describes your life here? Every day there is a new experience and you make a new friend.

How have your goals, dreams, or directions changed since coming to Mary Baldwin? I have set the bar higher for myself. I want more and know that I can achieve anything. Mary Baldwin has given me the confidence to shine and the support to succeed.

What has most surprised you about college? How easily accessible the professors are.  I have never had a professor who was not happy to meet with me to discuss my classes or just to sit and chat. It’s so wonderful to be able to freely communicate in Mary Baldwin’s friendly and open environment.

What have been some challenges? When I came to college I did not know how to study properly. Now through trial-and-error and help from my teachers, I know how to prepare myself for exams and how to take efficient notes in class.
