What’s your favorite MBC tradition? It would have to be Kwanzaa. I love the atmosphere, the idea of young women coming of age right before your eyes, and the celebration of family. I will truly miss it when I’ve graduated.
How is MBC helping your reach your goals? MBC has provided me with a great education and sense of my womanhood. I am very prepared to educate our future leaders and scholars. I love my major, all the enrichment I received, all of the traditions, history and the scholarship I learned through my connection with the Office of African American and Multicultural Affairs. MBC nurtured my niche and I will get to live out my dream of educating and continuing my own education as a result.
What advice would you give to someone considering Mary Baldwin College? I would say what I do to all prospective students I meet. Take advantage of every opportunity MBC has to offer. This place will teach great scholarship and will help you to be the best woman you can be if you let it. And most of all enjoy the beauty of our campus and the charm of these hills!
