Ann Field Alexander, Professor of History
Dr. Alexander is a faculty advisor in the Roanoke Center. In addition to advising adult students, she teaches courses in Virginia History, History of Appalachia, and African-American History. She joined the Mary Baldwin faculty in 1989.

Sharon Barnes, Director of the Roanoke Center
Ms. Barnes is the Director of the Roanoke Center. In addition to advising students, she teaches courses in Introduction to Listening, Women in Music, and Fundamentals of Music. She is an active member of ACHE (Association of Continuing Higher Education) and IAWM (the International Alliance of Women in Music). Ms. Barnes often appears at conferences as a presenter on the topics of advising adult learners and online teaching.

Daniel Dowdy, Associate Professor of Business Administration; Director of Corporate Education
Mr. Dowdy has been with the college since 1993. He advises students and teaches business courses. He oversees the non-credit Human Resource Management certificate programs, which are offered through LearnInc, the college's Corporate Education Services. He also coordinates study abroad opportunities for the Adult Degree Program.

Joyce Franklin, Regional Operations Coordinator
Joyce Franklin has been with the Adult Degree Program since the Roanoke office opened in 1984. She provides much needed assistance to students and faculty.

Pamela Richardson Murray, Professor of Education
Dr. Murray has been a member of the Mary Baldwin faculty since 1984 and served as coordinator of the Roanoke office from 1991-1999. She advises students in the Master of Arts in Teaching and Post Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure Programs. She also teaches many courses for teacher preparation.

Jackie Stanley, Academic Advisor
Jackie Stanley began her association with Mary Baldwin College in 2004. Jackie advises students, supervises student teachers, and teaches two education courses: Developmental and Diagnostic Reading and Using Poetry to Strengthen Reading Skills.
