We offer B.A. degrees with 12 Majors: Business, Communication, English, History, Marketing Communication, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Psychology/Sociology, Religion, Sociology, And Sociology/Psychology.
We have a great Teacher Licensure program.
ADP flexible learning options include: evening and weekend classes in South Boston, on-line instruction, and independent study.
We have a full-time faculty advisor serving you at the South Boston site.

Where is the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center?

The Southern Virginia Higher Education Center is housed in the renovated tobacco warehouse, circa 1850, once owned by Export Leaf Tobacco.

Parking at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center is free.

From Durham, NC and points south

Take Route 501 N to South Boston, VA (54 miles)
Cross Route 58. Continue on Route 501 N (it becomes Main Street) (.5 mile)
Cross railroad tracks and turn left on Factory Street. (.1 mile)
Turn left on Bruce Street.
End at 820 Bruce Street, South Boston, VA , The Southern Virginia Higher Education Center.

From South Hill, VA and points East

Take Route 58 West (48 miles)
Turn right on Route 501 N (it becomes Main Street) (.5 mile)
Cross railroad tracks and turn left on Factory Street. (.1 mile)
Turn left on Bruce Street.

From Danville, VA and points West

Take Route 58 East (31 miles)
Turn left on Route 501 N (it becomes Main Street) (.5 mile)
Cross railroad tracks and turn left on Factory Street. (.1 mile)
Turn left on Bruce Street.

From Lynchburg, VA and points North

Begin on US-501 S/Campbell Ave. Continue to follow US-501 S. to Rustburg, VA. (11 miles)
At Rustburg remain on US-501 S. At the stoplight in Rustburg US-501 S turns right.
Remain on US-501 S to Brookneal , VA (21 miles). At Brookneal continue on US-501 S by turning right and crossing the railroad track. (27 miles)
US-501 S turns right at Halifax , VA (4 miles).
Travel through Halifax and South Boston on US-501 S.
