Sharon Barnes Sharon Barnes, MALS, Director of the Roanoke Center
In addition to advising students, Ms. Barnes teaches courses in Introduction to Listening, Women in Music, and Fundamentals of Music. She is an active member of ACHE (Association of Continuing Higher Education) and IAWM (the International Alliance of Women in Music). Ms. Barnes often appears at conferences as a presenter on the topics of advising adult learners and online teaching.

Kari Frenz Kari A. Frenz, MS, Academic Advisor
Kari Frenz has been with the College since July 2011. She advises undergraduate ADP students and Post Baccalaureate students seeking teacher licensure. She also teaches MBC 101, College Algebra, and Precalculus with Trigonometry. She is an active member of ACHE. Kari has an AA&S in Science from Lord Fairfax Community College, a BA in Mathematics from Mary Baldwin College, and a MS in Education and Student Affairs Administration from Radford University.

Dianna Parrish has been with the College since January 2014. She advises undergraduate students and has been an adjunct professor teaching Social Work courses. Dianna has an AS in General Studies from Virginia Western Community College, a BA in Psychology from Roanoke College, and her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Alice Waddell Alice M. Waddell, EdD, Assistant Professor of Education
Dr. Waddell joined the MBC faculty in 2004 as adjunct faculty. She joined the Roanoke Office in July 2008. She teaches Inquiry in Social Science and Instructional Strategies for Inquiry-Based Classrooms at the Masters level and Elementary Methods and Middle School-Secondary Methods in ADP. Dr. Waddell serves as the Faculty Advisor for GTE in the Roanoke Center and supervises student teachers.
