"It is such an honor to be a student and part of the continuing educational system, which I see as the foundation of our community. I have so much respect for those who rise to the challenge, teach, and train the next generation of professionals," said Kelli Cash during a recent event celebrating the partnership between Mary Baldwin College and Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC).
Cash began her undergraduate education at BRCC and transferred to Mary Baldwin to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She plans to continue to take advantage of the dynamic institutional relationship, enrolling in introductory science prerequisites at Blue Ridge in hopes of applying to the physician assistant studies program at Mary Baldwin's Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, which is planned to begin in 2015.
The Adult Degree Program's flexibility and varied delivery methods — including online, on-site, and hybrid courses — created the ideal environment for Cash as a busy mother of four.
"Professors at Mary Baldwin genuinely care about their students, and it comes through in personalized, quality teaching," Cash said. "Beyond the classroom, advisors are there to ensure that you're not spinning your wheels and that you're on the right path."
