Visiting Teams
Welcome to Mary Baldwin College! The athletic training room is
located on the first floor of the Physical Activities Center (PAC).
The following arrangements have been made for your visit.
- A Certified Athletic Trainer will be available at all intercollegiate
athletic events to provide emergency care as appropriate and assist
any medical staff traveling with your teams.
- The training room will be open 2 hours prior to the start of competition.
- Ice cups, ice packs, ice immersion, hydrocollator, whirlpool, electrical
stimulation, and ultrasound will be available for visiting Certified
Athletic Trainers to use. If your team will not be traveling with
a Certified Athletic Trainer, please send written documentation from
a physician or ATC of specific treatment protocols to be used. Advanced
notice for use of modalities in the absence of a traveling ATC would
be greatly appreciated.
- The athletic trainer will be more than happy to assist your athletes
with pre-game taping. Please send adequate taping supplies with
your team. If your team will be traveling without a Certified
Athletic Trainer or athletic training student, please let the staff
know in advance so that your athletes can be fully accommodated.
- Water, cups, injury ice, biohazard bags, and emergency equipment
will be available on the sidelines.
