MBC Faced NCWC on the road in hopes of another USA South Win. The Squirrels won the first game of the season, and the win could allow MBC to seal a position in the Conference Tournament
MBC got off to an extremely slow start, with Jennifer Dobson hitting the only basket for the first 12:27 until Iiesha Ricks hit some free-throws to make it 4-9. A late 3-pointer by Kim
Jefferson would keep the game close at 23-27.
The Squirrels would struggle to keep up the intensity, as the
Battling Bishops would open up a 20 point lead with
5:41 left in
the game.
Baldwin would struggle to cut the lead in the closing
minutes, losing 61-72
Christie Hamilton had a season high 22 points with 6 rebounds.
Iiesha Ricks added 12 points and Kim Jefferson added 9 points.
The Squirrels are on the road vs Shenandoah on Tuesday Feb 10
