12/14 MBC Faced Peace College of USA South

The Fighting Squirrels returned to action against Peace College for their second Conference match-up.

The Squirrels started off the game where they left of yesterday afternoon, as the two teams battled early and MBC had the lead 14-13 with 10:20 left in the first half. The Pacers would work up an 8 point lead which the Squirrels would cut to 34-36 going into the locker rooms.

MBC would have their work cut out for them in the second half, as the Pacers would build a 21 point lead with about 5:00 left in the game. The Squirrels worked hard on defense but couldn't come up with the victory, losing 60-77.

Jennifer Dobson led the team with 17 points and 12 rebounds, Deja Budd added 14 points and 5 rebounds with 3 assists, while Sabrina Desper chipped in 11 points.

The Squirrels are back in action against Methodist on Jan 3rd at 2pm.
