CHamilton2/18 Basketball Supports "Pink Zone" vs Ferrum

Mary Baldwin College and the USA South supported the WBCA Pink Zone initiative and the Kay Yow Foundation. Baldwin supported the cause with donations at the door and selling shirts for donations.

The Squirrels got off to a slow start and struggled to shoot the
ball in the first half, as the team shot 20% from the field and
found themselves down 17-33 after the first half.

MBC would cut the lead to as low as 9 pts in the second half,
but the Panthers would never relinquish control of the game.
Ferrum would only outscore the Squirrels by 3 pts in the
second part of the game, but the Squirrels would go down
55-74.

Christie Hamilton would score 12 pts and allow her to hit the
1,000 pt mark for her career. Kara Hawkins grabbed 12 boards
and Jennifer Dobson scored 9 pts in her final home game.

The Squirrels are on the road for their final games of the
