Southern Va. shot 48% from the floor to Mary Baldwin’s 23% to cruise to an 85-61 win in non-conference play. Jessica Carter led the scoring attack for MBC with 20 points. For SVU, Lynn Adams-Schroeder paced three other teammates scoring in double figures with 20 total. Mary Baldwin’s Christie Hamilton had another double-double evening with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Leading the rebounding for the Squirrels was Kara Hawkins with six offensive rebounds and nine defensive.
With the loss, Mary Baldwin moves to 3-2 overall. Mary Baldwin plays its last game before Christmas break on Friday, Dec. 7 away at Eastern Mennonite University.
