The mission of SAAC is to:

* Enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting
opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering
a positive student-athlete image
* Support and encourage athletes in their development athletically
and academically by promoting discipline, time management
skills and goal setting
* Facilitate open communication between student-athletes, the
academic community, coaches and administrators
* Increase the Conference's involvement in the NCAA
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
* Promote good sportsmanship, fair play, leadership and
academic achievement among student-athletes
* Provide the student-athletes with a "voice" in the Conference

Recent SAAC Activity

"Pennies for a Purpose"

The USA South Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) announced its new spring community service initiative, "Pennies for a Purpose". This penny drive continued until Sunday, April 6. Until that time, schools were encouraged to collect loose change which will later be donated to an organization of their choosing. MBC Athletics and the SAAC have chosen to give their pennies to Relay for Life. Student-Athletes collected a grand total of $580.61, enough for 2nd place overall. Thanks to everyone that helped make this activity a success.
