3/8 Softball Competes Better vs McDaniel.
The Squirrels were at the park again vs McDaniel in hard fought games.
The Green Terror traveled to Squirrel Park today for a non-conference matchup. Both teams got out of the first inning scoreless, as MBC stranded a runner in scoring position to start out the game.
McDaniel would gain 2 runs in the second inning off of some wild pitches and another 4 runs in the third inning for a 6-0 lead.
A hit by Barela in the third and an error got her in scoring position again, but the Squirrels couldn't capitalize and remained scoreless for the game. McDaniel closed out the game in the sixth inning with the Squirrels losing 0-11.
2nd Game
The Squirrels were down early by one run as they came up to bat in the first. The Squirrels earned three hits from Barela, Ralston and Clausi and had the bases loaded. But Warrenfeltz would strike out the side and keep the Squirrels scoreless.
Defense for the Squirrels was much improved in their fourth game of the season, as players made some great plays to keep the game close, but the Squirrels would lose 0-4.
Tayler Barela went 3-6 on the day with 3 put outs. Amber Ralston went 2-5 and pitched in both games on the day. Amanda Miller saw pitching duty as well on day.
