The Squirrels traveled to Newport News, VA to face the Captains. The Squirrels are looking for their first conference win while the Captains have been undefeated in Conference play.

First Doubles lost 0-8 but Ania Grazynska and Gretchen Domaleski earned a win 8-4 to keep the Squirrels in it 1-2 with singles left to play.

Dasha Caron was able to grab a 6-3, 6-3 win over Megan Brooks, but the match would be decided in favor of the Captains as Erica Gaughan and Gretchen Domaleski entered a third set. Both players played a tie-breaker but were unable to come out with a victory in hard fought matches.

The Squirrels are back on the road vs Greensboro on Saturday for a 3pm start. [Box]
