Webber won both Matches
3/29 Squirrels lose 7-2 against Conference #7 Greensboro

The Tennis team played it's 4th match of the USA South conference schedule today at home. The Squirrels are #8 in the USA South and the Pride rank #7. The Pride come into the days match off a win against Averett, while the Squirrels are looking for their 1st USA South win.

Singles
#1 Singles player Nicole Koiner played last seasons USA south player of the year Carrie Pacifico. Koiner retired after the 4th game.

#2 Singles Caitlin Crowe battled for almost 2 hours against Susan Harris in a tough 3 set loss. Both players rallied but Harris came out on top.

#3 Singles had Ania Grazynska facing Michelle Lemmons. Grazynska struggled against the steadiness of Lemmons

#4 Singles had Dasha Caron against Katie Allegro. Caron won a game early but couldn't keep it going.

#5 Singles saw Francis Webber playing Rachel Brown. Webber pulled out the match for the Squirrels 6-4, 6-3 in some close games

#6 Singles had Gretchen Domaleski challenging Heather Redd. Both players won a set as Domaleski had to retire due to a foot injury.

Doubles

#1 Doubles started out strong as Koiner and Crowe held of an early attack. The steadiness and racquet control of Pacifico and Harris were too much

#2 Doubles had Grazynska / Caron in a difficult match against Lemmons / Allegro. Greensboro controlled the set after an early lost game.

#3 Doubles garnered a win for the Squirrels as Webber / Domaleski held off Redd / Brown 8-6.

MBC lost the meet 2-7 with Webber winning both her matches on the day and are back in action tomorrow at 1pm against Trinity at Squirrel Court.
