4/12 Squirrels defeat Conference Opponent NCW Fighting Bishops 8-1

The Fighting Squirrels Tennis team got their second conference win against NCW today. The Squirrels move into 8 place in the standings and will host a match on Tue at 3pm here at MBC

Singles
#1 Singles saw Nicole Koiner take the court, but retired.

#2 Singles had Caitlin Crowe def. Ashley Ball after dropping the first set and served for the final game of the third set. Scores were 5-7, 6-1, 6-4

#3 Singles saw Anna Grazynska faced Leila Heinonen. Grazynska controlled the first set, but Heinonen put up a fight in the second. Anna won 6-0, 6-3

#4 Singles pitted Dasha Caron against Meghan Herd. Caron's consistency got her a 6-0, 6-0 win

#5 Singles saw Francis Webber faced Juliana Richardson. Webber kept the ball in play and took home the match 6-0, 6-0

#6 Singles had Gretchen Domaleski in action against Evanne Collins. She won 6-1, 6-0.

Doubles

#1 Doubles had Caitlin Crowe/Nicole Koiner vs BALL, Ashley/GALASSO, Jaime (NCWW). MBC won 8-3

#2 Doubles showed Anna Grazynska/Dasha Caron vs HEINONEN, Leila/NKUNDA, Charis (NCWW). MBC won 8-1

#3 Doubles was Gretchen Domaleski/Frances Webber def. RICHARDSON, Juliana/COLLINS, Evanne (NCWW). MBC won 8-0

MBC won the Doubles matches and took an early 3-0 lead. MBC took the meet 8-1 and are back in action against Averett on Tue 4/14 at 3:00pm for the USA South Play-in.The winner will travel to Burlington, NC to face CNU
