 9/24 MBC Volleyball defeats Shenandoah in USA South Action

The MBC Volleyball team traveled to Winchester, VA to face off against the Hornets of Shenandoah University.

The Squirrels got off to a slow start but pulled out the first set 25-23. In Set-2, hitting errors and some good plays by the Hornets, stung the Squirrels for a set loss of 23-25. The Squirrels bounced back and opened up the third set late in the contest for a controlled 25-17 win. The fourth set showed a late Hornet surge, but MBC was able to hold up the win 25-21

Anna

Anna Schueren had 15 kills on 27 attempts to lead the team with a .407 hitting percentage while adding 3 aces and 3 digs on the evening.

 

ColenaColena Roberts added 15 kills to her record on 47 attempts for a .213 hitting percentage on the night. Roberts also had 15 digs in her performance.

 

KimKim Clum distributed 37 assists to her hitters, while scoring 5 aces without a service error on the evening. Her defensive play also shined through with 12 digs on the evening.

The Squirrels are back in action on 9/27 as the team travels to Fayeteville, NC to take on the Methodist Monarchs and the Peace Pacers. Games are at 12pm and 2pm respectively.
