10/04 Volleyball suffers two losses in Non-Conference play vs UMW and W&L.

MBC Volleyball traveled to Lexington, VA to play two matches, taking on the Eagles of Mary Washington and the Generals of W&L.

Against the Eagles, the Squirrels showed a strong opening set performance and pushed the Eagles to the edge, but were unable to come away with the set. The Squirrels would compete the rest of the way but would be unable to win the match, losing 24-26, 21-25, 11-25.

Christie Hamilton led the team with 11 kills, while Anna Schueren added 9 kills and Kim Clum set up 19 assists.

The Squirrels played tough vs the Generals but weren't able to make up small deficits in sets 1 and 2. Set-3 was opened up by good hitting from W&L and poor passing by the Squirrels. The final scores were 21-25, 20-25, 10-25.

Anna Schueren led the team with 7 kills and Kim Clum had 14 assists, as the team served at 90%.

The Squirrels are back in action on Oct 15th at Home vs CNU for a Double-Header starting at 5pm.
