9/21 Volleyball Wins First Match of the Season vs Meredith, and drops to Averett.

Volleyball earned it's first victory of the season vs USA South opponent Meredith and then lost to Averett University in the second match of the day

In the first match vs Meredith, the Squirrels behind early but gained control of the match late in set-1 for a 25-19 win. The Squirrels would win set-2 25-22, and set-3 25-17.

Kim Clum had 30 assists and 7 kills of her own with 15 digs. Colena Roberts led the team with 17 kills, while Christie Hamilton and Anna Schuren had 7 and 8 kills apiece.

The second match of the day for the Squirrels was against the Cougars of Averett University. The Squirrels struggled to pass the good serving of AU and with the tough defense that was played, and end up losing in three straight sets, 16-25, 14-25, 8-25.

MBC Volleyball is back in action at Shenandoah University on 9/24 at 7pm.
