9/26 Volleyball Plays Tough USA South Weekend

Volleyball traveled to Raleigh, NC to face the Pacers of Peace College and the Monarchs of Methodist. This was the first meeting for MBC against both of these teams.

The Squirrels opened up the day against Peace and game out sluggish to lose the first set. MBC would take the next two, but would be unable to take game 4, forcing the 5th game. The Squirrels would drop the final set. Anna Schueren led all hitters with 17 kills, Marian Howard added 11 kills with the help of Kim Clum's 41 Assists. Carla Hill led all defenders with a record 60 digs. [Box]

MBC would be overrun by the Monarchs speed in the second match of the day, dropping in a quick 3 sets. Anna Schueren had 9 kills while Melanie Updike chipped in 7 kills. Kim Clum had 21 assists with Carla Hill defending 15 digs. [Box]
