10/24 Volleyball Battles NCWC & Greensboro

The Squirrels were at Home in USA South Matches. The Squirrels played the Battling Bishops in the first match and the Pride of Greensboro in the second match. The Squirrels lost against the Bishops 0-3 as MBC struggled to get their offense rolling. in the first two sets. MBC did a better job in the 3rd set and had a 19-17 lead, but the Bishops would battle on and close out the match, handing the loss 20-25.

Anna Schueren led the way in kills for MBC with 10, while Brittany Kindle added 6 kills and hit .214. Kim Clum had 21 Assists with 11 digs, while Carla Hill earned 21 digs. [Box]

Against the Pride, MBC lost some key points late in sets 1 and 2 to drop both. The Squirrels built a 16-11 lead in set 3 and worked to keep it late in the set. MBC had three opportunities to close out the set, but would go down 26-28.

Melanie Updike led the way in kills with 9. Anna Schueren added 8 kills. Kim Clum dished out 22 assists with Carla Hill leading everyone with 18 digs. [Box]
