Seasonal Interpreter

Salary: $12.00 - $15.00/ hour; no benefits Location: Philip A. Bolen Memorial Park, Leesburg, Virginia Hours: March 15 – November 15, weekdays and weekends, occasional evenings Be a part-time instructor for Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services. Work part-time during days, evenings and weekends. Work in a beautiful outdoor setting helping school children and adults learn about the natural world. Help create, market, implement and lead a variety of natural, cultural and historical interpretive programs. Programs will mostly be led in an outdoor environment. Training is provided. Hourly salary based on availability and experience. Interpretive and/or teaching experience required. Applicants should be able to walk long distances over various types of terrain as well as remain on their feet for long periods of time. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, plus experience educating children. Minimum age is 18 years. Preferred Qualifications: Any combination of education, training and paid or volunteer experience equivalent to an associate or bachelor’s degree in the sciences, education, or related field, OR equivalent experience in education or related field.
