Communications Coordinator

Are you an excellent communicator and project manager? Use your talents to make a difference by helping us share the story of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, one of the most respected charities in the area. The successful candidate will manage the logistics of a variety of marketing and communications projects. Experience in managing the production process for print publications, creating and organizing media and marketing resources, and writing compelling stories and marketing copy is essential. Must be able to juggle and meet deadlines for multiple projects, work independently and as a team member.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, related field, or an equivalent amount of training and experience required. Experience in media relations, social media and design software (Adobe) is highly desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Successful applicant must have a valid VA driver’s license with a good driving record.

Competitive hourly salary. 401K available. Position is part time working in the Verona

office approximately 20 hours per week. Hours are flexible.
