Good morning.

Commencement will be held on Page Terrace as scheduled this morning at 10 a.m.

In making the decision to hold the ceremony outdoors on campus despite the iffy weather, President Fox kept in mind the strong preference of the Class of 2013.

Family and friends attending today's ceremony should use their best judgment regarding rain gear. Since the grassy hillside could be slippery should it become wet, we encourage guests to wear appropriate footwear and as always exercise appropriate caution.

Congratulations to all those who will receive their degrees today, and deepest thanks to all the family and friends whose support helped them along the way.

School of Science Biology

Biology at Mary Baldwin College

Students who major in Biology at MBC integrate technique and theory. Whether they are contributing to faculty research or working on a self-designed project, biology majors have access to equipment and the opportunity to perform real research. A demanding senior project gives biology majors the chance to experience the science at a higher level of study and make an impression in graduate school and beyond.

Students can pursue a BS or a BA with a major in biology. Biology is also available as a minor.

Biology is part of Mary Baldwin’s School of Science and is available through the College for Women and Adult Degree Program* in Staunton.

Related disciplines: Chemistry, Pre-Medical

*available to ADP students if they are transferring high-level math classes and lab sciences.
