Public Use of Mary Baldwin College’s Buildings and Grounds

Mary Baldwin College makes some of its buildings and grounds available to the public when not reserved exclusively for its students.

Scheduling Events

To inquire about scheduling receptions and other events, contact Pam Hummell in the Physical Plant office at 540-887-7207 or phummell@mbc.edu. Activities typically are permitted during the summer only, when students are not on campus. MBC faculty and staff should contact Pam Hummell for more information.

Sledding

For many years, Mary Baldwin College has allowed sledding on the hill above the lower athletics field off Coalter Street, between the MBC Entrance Drive and Prospect Street. The college stresses that sledding is at the risk of the sledders, that it is prohibited elsewhere on campus, that it is not allowed anywhere after dark — and that there’s no parking on Entrance Drive.
