| Description: | Mary Baldwin College seeks an experienced, creative web designer/developer to design, build, and maintain the college’s public website as a key member of our collaborative team. Will create the visual framework, graphic elements, and interactive components that support the college’s strategic and marketing communication goals; ensure that layout and navigation are user-focused; utilize technologies that conform to international standards; and implement and administer a content management system. Requires bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of professional experience in web design and development including 1 year producing table-less, XHTML, standards-compliant, cross-browser, and gracefully degrading code. Requires advanced knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, and dynamic HTML; and experience with Adobe Flash and with web database solutions (MySQL). In addition to technical qualifications, must have excellent organizational, project management, communication and interpersonal skills; a superior understanding of how to use the web as a marketing communication vehicle; and stay up to date on web design trends and techniques. Experience working in a marketing communication setting, particularly in higher education or a nonprofit, is a plus. |

| Position: | Instructional Technologist |
| Description: | Mary Baldwin College seeks a catalyst for identifying and implementing technology enhanced pedagogy into its curriculum. The Instructional Technologist will review and recommend new technologies to the faculty while implementing and maintaining those selected. The Technologist will assist faculty with the development of course materials and will maintain, upgrade and enhance the college's learning management system. The Technologist must be an excellent trainer, able to convey technological concepts in a straightforward, understandable manner and to apply those concepts to faculty objectives. The Information Technologist will assist the faculty in obtaining funding for the integration of technology into the curriculum. A strong orientation and commitment to work teams and positive work culture are required along with exceptional oral and written communication skills. Successful completion of B.A. or B.S. degree required, masters strongly preferred along with five to seven years experience working in a similar environment. |
