Internships
In general for each 50 hours worked, a student receives one credit hour. As an employer hosting an intern, you are a mentor for the student. MBC’s Internship Guidelines for Employers helps ensure that an intern will be successful working with you. At the end of the internship, you should complete the Employer Evaluation of Internship (PDF).
To Advertise an Internship or Job
Employers can post jobs and internships with Mary Baldwin as well as Hollins University, Randolph College, and Sweet Briar College. These schools have formed the Alliance of Virginia College Career Services. By posting opportunities to the Alliance, you will be reaching students at all four schools. You may also elect to post only to Mary Baldwin.
This on-line system also allows you to search resume books, review and accept applicants, view a calendar of your events, communicate with candidates and keep in touch with us.
To post a job or internship, you will follow these one-time steps to create an account. This will give you access to our eRecruiting system.
Step 1: Visit http://mbc.experience.com/emp/sblogin
Step 2: Enter your e-mail and click "Submit". (Ensures you don't already have an account)
Step 3: Enter your Account Information including all required fields and click "submit". (You may be required to complete additional school specific required fields)
Step 4: To post a Job or Internship click the "Jobs" link then "Create a New Job"
On-Campus Recruiting
Employers are invited to visit the campus, set up information tables, and interview students for jobs or internships. We will be happy to work with you to design a recruiting strategy that best fits your needs and your schedule.
