Hands-on, community-based, and interdisciplinary, MBC’s minor in civic engagement is for students who want to improve the quality of life of our region, nation and/or world.
Students will gain a broader and deeper understanding of community assets and needs as well as the development of public policy, both locally and globally. Course work, combined with practica and internships, gives students a working knowledge of the tools needed to lead and serve others. Current social issues are addressed to hone skills in social action and civic responsibility.
Civic engagement is available as a minor.
