Class Gift
The Class of gift is very important in determining what the college can do
for the next generation of Mary Baldwin students.
Reunion 2007 was a huge success!
Our sincere thanks to all of the members of the Class of 1957 who accepted
the Smith Challenge! The ten classes who celebrated a milestone reunion in
2007 and the Grafton Society were challenged to raise $500,000. These loyal
alumnae responded generously and exceed expectations! With Mrs. Smith's matching
gift of $500,000, reunion giving reached a remarkable $1 million dollars-
a truly transformational gift for our alma mater. What an achievement!
Bertie Deming Smith '46 believes in Mary Baldwin College. With her Challenge,
Mrs. Smith wants us to understand that our financial support and participation
in the Annual Fund each and every year is crucial to Mary Baldwin's continued
success. Please accept the Smith Challenge as it was intended and renew your
commitment to your alma mater each and every year.
