LYNN TUGGLE Gilliland writes, “Bill and I love living in Montreat NC! Other than MBC, it is the only other place in the world I would want to be! My work as VP for Development at the Montreat Conference Center is rewarding and challenging. I have met so many wonderful people! Like Mary Baldwin, Montreat offers a transformational experience for those who come here to be refreshed and renewed in spirit. I am truly blessed! It is been great to be near my son Matthew, a senior boarding student at Asheville School. One of his good friends is Libby Malinowski, daughter of LIZ LAFFITTE Malinowski ’81. Have also joined a church in Montreat where I was welcomed by MARTHA DIMMOCK Campbell ’69 and have seen BETTY LOU Jeffrey ’50 who lives part of the year in Black Mountain and JO BALES Gallagher ’48 for whom our new Presbyterian Resource Center is named. SQUIRREL SPIRIT is alive and well in Western NC and I hope to hear from others who might be in the vicinity! Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org”. LISA GRANT Tillman ’80/’86 has recently moved back to the DC area and is looking for a job. She has many relatives who also attended MBC! She now resides in Northern VA, she and her daughter both attended. LAURA REED Bivans – Been a busy, crazy summer. June 30 we found out my little brother had T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, he’s being treated at John’s Hopkins fingers crossed and waiting. The chemo seems to be working but we’ll know more soon. My daughter, Margie still loves working at MBC, she’s the Assistant Director of Early Education, so if you get to MBC stop by PEG and DON’T tell her stories about me! She adopted a dog in May and Bennie and she is enjoying life. Dave is still at Dept of Energy and I’m at Viers Mill Elem in Head Start. Thomas has a decision to make before March – what to do with his life, so we’ll see what he decides! Hope everyone is well – let me know what you are up to for Class Notes!
