Charlie Angersbach has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 14 years. After retiring from the Marine Corps in 1997, Charlie taught English for 3 years and was the assistant athletic trainer at Lafayette Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana. He then moved to North Montgomery High School as the Head Athletic Trainer. While at NMHS he became at certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He came to Virginia in 2005 and worked at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital’s Wellness Center as a personal trainer and aquatics supervisor. Before becoming an Athletic Trainer, he served in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years and retired as a Major. He earned his BA in English Secondary Education from New Jersey’s Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1977. He received his MA in Physical Education and Recreation from The Ohio State University graduating in 1997. He has taught several weight training courses and has attended numerous conferences to increase his knowledge and expertise in exercise science.
Nikki Maples received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Agnes Scott in May of 2009. She received her master’s degree in kinesiology from Georgia Southern in 2011. From 2009-2013 Maples was at Reinhardt University, where she was the assistant basketball coach and an adjunct professor with the sports studies and physical education department.
