New Home for the Young and Gifted
With spacious areas for students in the Program for the Exceptionally Gifted to live and study, the PEG Center is another landmark in the heart of our historic campus. Nestled comfortably between Pearce Science Center and Grafton Library, it is just steps from classrooms, Hunt Dining Hall, and computer and language labs. Fully wired for Internet, phone, and cable services, the center has study and lounge areas, washers and dryers, small kitchens, and supplementary storage. Students and staff will gather Sunday evenings in a community room to talk about how things are going. The center is organized in small clusters, each with adult supervision, to create a home away from home.
Mary Baldwin is the only college in the country with a full-time residential program for gifted females as young as rising ninth-graders.
