4-6pm	Registration and Welcome This is your Commencement headquarters: a place to meet graduates, family, and friends throughout the weekend, have refreshments, shop in the Alumnae/i Association ’s Mary Baldwin College Gift Shop — and get your Commencement packet. And the MBC Bookstore is just upstairs! Ham and Jam Pub in William G. Pannill Student Center
Saturday, May 17

10:30am	Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society Induction Salute high-achieving Adult Degree Program students. Francis Auditorium in Pearce Science Center
11am	Commissioning Ceremony Witness graduating seniors receiving their commissions in the U.S. Armed Forces. Barbara Kares Page Terrace Rain location: Physical Activities Center
11am–1pm	Champagne Brunch for Graduates and Families Enjoy great food and offer best wishes to the seniors (soon-to-be alumnae/i). Class of 2008 picture will be taken at noon. Lyda B. Hunt Dining Hall
12:30–2pm	Ajani Ceremony A moving rite of passage celebrating the achievement of inductees who have supported a multicultural campus community. Rose Terrace Lawn Rain location: Dance Studio, Physical Activities Center
2:30pm	Change of Command Review Salute the achievements of Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership graduates as they pass the torch to next year’s seniors. Parade Ground at the Physical Activities Center Rain location: Physical Activities Center
3:30–5:30pm	Reception to Honor PEG Graduates Honor the soon-to-be-alumnae of the Program for the Exceptionally Gifted. Lyda B. Hunt Dining Hall, West
5pm	Phi Beta Kappa Initiation and Reception MBC is one of only a small percentage of colleges selected to have a chapter on campus — help us honor those tapped for membership in this most prestigious of academic honor societies. Francis Auditorium in Pearce Science Center
5:30–7pm	Reception with Live Music at The President’s House Perfect time to catch up and chat with classmates and family in a casual setting. On the lawn near The President’s House Rain location: Student Activities Center
7:30pm	Contra Dance Dance workshop at 7:30pm, followed by the dance at 8pm. All MBC students may attend free; others may purchase tickets at the door, $6 for adults, $3 for guests ages 12-18, free for Class of 2007 with college ID. Dance Studio, Physical Activities Center
9pm–midnight	Commencement Ball The Senior Class has been planning and looking forward to this. Student Activities Center, Pub, and Tyson Terrace
