Crista Cabe - Vice President, Public Relations
As a member of the college’s Executive Staff and leader of the Communication, Marketing, and Public Affairs team, Crista provides vision and direction for integrated communication that supports attainment of the college’s strategic plan. In addition to overseeing the work of the CoMPA team, she is MBC’s official spokesperson and personally handles emergency communication, crisis communication, and government relations.

Leighton Carruth
The communications assistant position is at the heart of CoMPA’s operations. Leighton serves as the air-traffic controller, for the many project requests and inquiries the department receives, and is responsible for production of the entire Mary Baldwin Academic Catalog. Leighton also assists in writing news items for online and in the college magazine.

Liesel Crosier
As director of media relations, Liesel oversees content on MBC News (delivered to the college community weekly in The Cupola Now) as well as helps inform the general public about MBC’s mission by working with external news outlets. Liesel is also part of CoMPA’s web development team, editing content and pitching in with strategic planning for mbc.edu.

Pam Dixon
Giving the college identity a tangible look and feel is part of what Pam role as senior graphic designer on the MBC graphic design team. Designers provide creative direction and shepherd projects through production, from budgeting to printing. Pam also oversees photography assignments for CoMPA and assists other departments in contracting photography.

Dawn Medley
Editor of Boldly Baldwin, the college’s magazine, is one of the hats that Dawn wears as director of publications. She also oversees content development of college brochures, posters, and other promotional material and coordinates the delivery of the monthly news email, Cupola Connect. Dawn is also advisor to student newspaper, Campus Comments.

Morgan Alberts Smith ’99
As the college's web producer, Morgan oversees maintenance of more than 16,000 pages that make up the Mary Baldwin website. Certified in Search Engine Optimization, she helps ensure certain pages within the site are highly visible among Internet searches. Additionally, Morgan is the college's social media consultant — working with other departments to create their social media presence — and is also the online voice of the college as manager of its social networks, including the MBC Facebook page.

Phoebe West
