Undergraduate Minor in Education

As an undergraduate at Mary Baldwin — whether in the College for Women or the Adult Degree Program —  you can earn your bachelor’s degree and a Virginia teacher’s license at the same time. You won’t be limited to teaching in Virginia — The Virginia Collegiate Professional Teaching License offered at MBC is recognized by many other states through reciprocity. We offer the best fully accredited teaching program around. Teacher education has been a strength of ours for a long time, and it’s our single most popular academic program. Any student planning to pursue teacher licensure should plan to minor in education (except for those who are majoring in Liberal Arts and Educational Studies).
