Trustees Choose Augusta County Site for College of Health Sciences
The Mary Baldwin College Board of Trustees voted unanimously to move forward with a plan to build a facility for its new graduate-level health sciences program on a site near Goose Creek Road in Fishersville. Construction on the site is expected to be complete for the first class of students, who would enroll in June 2014.

Senior Sabrina Desper reached a milestone in her basketball career, scoring her 1,000th point in a home-court win against Meredith College. The achievement puts Desper among the top 10, all-time leading scorers at MBC.
  Indian Ladies > On Tamil, Castes, The Hindu, and Puri
Roderic Owen, professor of philosophy, is spending 10 weeks in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, to strengthen MBC’s partnership with the all-women institution Lady Doak College. As part of his informal travelogue, he considers the many languages of Tamil India, how the Tamil people are regarded within the Indian caste system, and more.
