The Colored Museum
The MBC Kuumba Players — a theater troupe dedicated to liberating African-American stories — is producing this satirical play by George C. Wolfe. Set in a museum that is designed to exhibit African-American life in the United States, the story playfully poses questions about how to effectively honor black history when the story has been woven within the crucible of oppression. 8 p.m., Fletcher Collins Theatre, Deming Fine Arts Center, 301 Deming Drive, Staunton. General admission is $5. For more information, call 540-887-7270. |
