Highly regarded as a scholar and profoundly committed to liberal learning as teacher, mentor, and colleague, Mary Hill Cole has been chosen for honorary membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
 
   SGA Leadership Award Winners > Student Leaders Recognized with Top Campus Honors
Mary Baldwin College recognized five exceptional student standouts for their leadership, academic record, and commitment to the university's values at its April 7 Honors Convocation ceremony. An academic advisor and two organizations were also singled out for acknowledgment.

If you see a red flag, say something. That is the motto for the Red Flag Campaign that will be sweeping through the hills of Mary Baldwin College throughout April and into May to provide awareness and prevent dating violence.
       
  Reunion 2011 > Celebrating Lives Well Led
The occasional drizzle during Mary Baldwin College Reunion Weekend April 7–10 did not stop alumnae/i of various ages and locations from reminiscing, honoring each other, visiting familiar places, playing together — and, thanks to two new events — shopping and sipping punch.

Master of Letters Directing Production: The Maid's Tragedy

A Husband Halted. A Mistress Mocked. A Daughter Devastated. A Sister Shamed. Lovers Lost. When the King commands Evadne, sister to the soldier Melantius, to marry Amintor despite the young man's promises to Aspatia, he sparks a fire in his court that consumes his kingdom. See this sensual, sensational, spectacular, subversive piece of Jacobean drama — The Maid's Tragedy by Beaumont and Fletcher — on stage at the Blackfriars Playhouse (10 South Market St.) at 7:30 p.m. April 25 and 26. Preshow music begins at 7:15 p.m. Performances are free and open to the public. Donations benefit the Shakespeare and Performance program in partnership with the American Shakespeare Center at Mary Baldwin College. For more information call 540-887-7237.
