The new site features networked schedules and content that allows for immediate updates; live stats; athlete spotlights; video clips, images; and connections to social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and coaches’ blogs.
   Virginia earthquake > Tremors Felt on Campus after Rare Virginia Quake
The MBC campus in Staunton felt the impact of a 5.9-magnitude earthquake that occurred approximately 75 miles east of Staunton on Tuesday, adding an element of excitement to an already exciting move-in week.

Edward Scott taught Laura Kleiner at Mary Baldwin College, where she graduated in May. He said she was an exceptional student, and added, “I’m so proud of her because she sees this as her calling.”

  News Leader > Annual MBC gala part of Staunton Music Festival
The gala, a fundraiser for the festival, takes place at the President’s house atop Mary Baldwin College and ticket fees include entrance to the concert, a full, catered meal, drinks and dessert.

  Honors Convocation > August 28
Convocation and Candlelight

Part of MBC’s annual Week of Welcome, students will gather in First Presbyterian Church with student leaders and administrators for Opening Convocation followed by a candlelit walk from the church onto campus where they’ll form a grand circle around the central quad of lower campus. Convocation begins at 7:30 p.m.
