  Sullivan Group > Students Pursue Social Change at Summer Institute
This summer Mary Baldwin College sophomores Mawa Ali and Jasmine Greinke attended the Sullivan Social Entrepreneurship Institute — a three-week, intensive study of social entrepreneurship to create social change.

   Prague > Early College Programs Represented at International Conference
More than 450 people participated in the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children conference in Prague, which brought together leaders in the field of gifted education. Among them was MBC’s own Stephanie Ferguson.

The departments of English, history, mathematics, psychology, religion, social work, Spanish, and theatre will be infused with fresh perspectives in 2011–12 as eight full-time faculty members join the college.

Art Exhibition: “Fanning Out: Sculptural and Functional Pottery by Nancy Ross”

Presented by the Staunton Augusta Art Center (SAAC), this exhibition from MBC’s own Nancy Ross will be open daily at the gallery at 20 S New St. A Beverley Street Studio School lunchtime conversation with Nancy about the exhibit will be held on Monday, Sept. 26 at 12:30–1:15 p.m. in the SAAC gallery.
