A single post on the MBC Facebook page made us all look at our outerwear a bit differently this week and generated a flood of comments, likes, and shares. Who knew that a simple tutorial on how to transform a mismatched glove into a squirrel could generate such interest?

Elena Nguyen’s poem, In Progress, and Shavoni Yarborough’s essay, The Path of Wisdom: From Awareness to Action, were chosen by Spencer Center staff and fellows as the winners of the 2011–12 Mary Baldwin College theme student competition. Both presented their works at the annual theme forum at the Spencer Center on February 23.
