The Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences is about the future of Mary Baldwin, its students, and the community. In 2014, MBC will open the doors to a state-of-the-art facility on a beautiful hilltop campus. Initial programs are slated to include doctor of physical therapy, doctor of occupational therapy, and master of physician assistant studies.

The original undergraduate research taking place in Pearce Science Center has always been innovative and dynamic. Recent renovations have started to elevate the condition of the 40-year-old building to match the distinction of its scholars.

As one of the most critical sources of funding for day-to-day operations at the college, unrestricted gifts are considered part of the Baldwin Fund, our ongoing fundraising effort. The impact of undesignated giving is present in everything from the resources we have for recruiting students to much-needed building maintenance.

Gifts to endowed funds keep on giving. Endowments for our Summer Research Fellows Program and Spencer Center for Civic Engagement provide two new ways to support current and future generations of Mary Baldwin students.

Once a vibrant center for alumnae/i activity on campus, renovation plans for the historic Alumnae House include remodeling its interior spaces and grounds to again accommodate special events and overnight guests. Establishing an endowment for the house will ensure that significant repairs and projects can be completed as needed.

The first impression our campus makes on a prospective student is so important. Painting, signage, lighting, and the general appearance of our signature buildings make a difference. Supporting campus enhancements helps us put our best face forward.
