This project came to life at the suggestion of Dr. Pamela Fox, Mary Baldwin College President, who made the connection that the Program for the Exceptionally Gifted is nothing if not dynamic and responsive. While discussing the possibility of creating a product in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the program with Dr. Brenda Bryant, Dean of Students, and Dr. Stephanie Ferguson, Director of PEG, the concept of the 25 Faces of PEG Project was conceived.

PEG is indebted to Crista Cabe, Vice President of Public Relations, as well as Adam Smith and Morgan Smith in the MBC Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs Office. Their social media and design expertise brought this project to fruition.

The vignettes included in this project come from PEG alumnae — those who earned their undergraduate degrees at MBC as well as those who built upon the foundation constructed through PEG and MBC to transfer to other institutions of higher education. Your stories are truly the heart and history of the program.

Thank you to all who continue to support PEG at MBC. As you will no doubt ascertain upon reading the stories contained in this project, PEG is a unique environment dedicated to the cultivation and growth of young women who are seeking to reach their potential and surpass expectations.
