Lend Lease during World War II

Lend Lease:

While most Lend Lease aid was given to Britain, the U.S. also gave very substantial aid to the USSR as part of the Lend Lease Program during World War II.

Among the items that the U.S. gave were:

·       14,700 airplanes

·       7000 tanks,

·       52,000 Jeeps,

·       376,000 trucks,

·       35,000 motorcycles,

·       2000 locomotives,

·       11,000 freight cars,

·       3.8 million tires,

·       15 million pairs of Army boots, etc.

 

In addition, vast quantities of fuel, food, steel, and munitions were provided.
